At Nicasio Design we like to recognize those who have made significant contributions to the arts and humanity. Bob Marley was one such man.
Some Trivia about Bob Marley:
He was buried with a soccer ball, a Gibson guitar, a Bible, and a bud of marijuana.
He was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 1994.
He did not believe in causing violence to animals either, therefore he practiced a life as a vegetarian.
The One Love Peace Concert:
The One Love Peace Concert was a large concert held on 22 April 1978 at The National Stadium in Kingston, Jamaica. The concert came to its peak during Bob Marley & The Wailers’ performance of “Jammin'”, when Marley joined the hands of political rivals Michael Manley (PNP) and Edward Seaga (JLP).
His Contributions & Legacy:
He made creative contributions of outstanding artistic significance to the field of recording.
In 1981, Marley was awarded Jamaica’s third highest honor, the Order of Merit, for his outstanding contribution to Jamaican culture.
1love.org is a great tribute to his legacy. And there is also ‘The House of Marley is built on the principles of superior quality, earth-friendliness and a commitment to global charitable causes.’
Working to provide an outlet for others to connect, contribute, learn and share is what we always strive to do here at Nicasio Design. Hope you enjoyed this month’s spotlight on Bob Marley. I will always wonder how much more music and peace loving knowledge would he of imparted had he lived a full ripe life?
