WordPress E-Commerce Site Launch

goschi_logo-mainNicasio Design is proud to announce the launch of one of our latest WordPress sites for Dr. Barbara Goschi.

Dr. Goschi needed a highly customized content management system and e-commerce site launched where she could sell her products, sell her advice, communicate with her patients/readers, and outline her services.

The solution we chose to build out her custom design is WordPress and the Shopp Plugin.

More details and screenshots after the break.

Implemented Custom Design

Dr. Goschi came to us with a custom design that needed to be implemented on WordPress. Through the use of a custom theme, a few plugins, and the Shopp platform we delivered the following site which not only met the original design requirements, but also met all functional requirements with ease.

Note: Dr. Goschi is still adding her products to the site, but the Ask the Doctor form is actually a custom process tied into Shopp which allows a visitor to ask Dr. Goschi a question for a small fee and receive 1 on 1 advice from Dr. Goschi. A pretty cool feature.

Homepage

The homepage features an AJAX slideshow controlled through the admin with a customized version of our Dynamic Headers Plugin.

The widgets across the bottom are controlled by a fully widgetized sidebar in WordPress.

Newsletter Secondary Page

This page is a unique page template using a different widgetized sidebar.

Secondary Content Page

The content page uses yet another custom widgetized sidebar. In total we used 5 custom sidebars on this site to give each section a unique look and feel with custom functionality.

The quotes you see on the bottom of the homepage and secondary pages are actually WordPress posts, making them controllable from within the WordPress admin.
