This is a fairly unique website that we had the pleasure of building out. eTrain Today already had a logo and a basic idea of where they wanted to go with design, but needed help getting their new business venture up and running.
eTrain provides online training and testing for people that work with hazardous materials and other jobs that require various certifications. This site had to be part e-commerce, part membership management, and part distance learning.
We ended up building the site on WordPress. Through the use of a custom theme, the Shopp plugin, a custom, AJAX powered e-learning plugin (written by Nicasio) and integration with Articulate’s Presenter software we delivered a solution that is functional, intuitive, and easy to use (for both the site admin and test takers).

Nicasio Design is proud to announce the launch of one of our latest WordPress sites for Dr. Barbara Goschi.
Dr. Goschi needed a highly customized content management system and e-commerce site launched where she could sell her products, sell her advice, communicate with her patients/readers, and outline her services.
The solution we chose to build out her custom design is WordPress and the Shopp Plugin.

We’re proud to announce the launch of our first fully integrated WordPress e-commerce site.
Neuro Enhancement Strategies (http://neuro-enhancement.com) needed a website that allowed them to manage their page content, photos, media, blog, contact requests, newsletter sign ups, events, and also have the ability to sell their products. They wanted a centralized interface for the management of all of these components.
The solution we proposed was a custom WordPress build utilizing the Shopp plugin for e-commerce. Through some template customizations we were able to make this platform not only meet Neuro Enhancement’s functional requirements, but their design requirements as well.
The site is tied into a 3rd party payment gateway and the USPS web tools API. This allows for payment and shipping calculations to happen seamlessly for customers.
Since Shopp is built as a WordPress plugin, the staff at Neuro Enhancement has one central place where they can manage their content, media, products and new orders from their store.

At some point or another I’m sure we have all taken a writing class of some kind. You probably learned how to write an essay or short stories. While incredibly useful (it’s very important to be able to write and communicate in any profession), these writing styles do little to prepare you for e-commerce copywriting. With the ease and lower cost of starting a business online, many entrepreneurs are turning to the Internet for their new business ventures. This is causing a rise in the number of e-commerce sites. While looking at these sites you may notice one of the most blatantly absent parts of these sites is good copy.

In today’s fast paced business world it is not common place for a business to have a website and offer it’s products online – it is expected. If you have a physical storefront and are not offering your items for sale online you are actually well behind your competition. However, there are a few best practices you will need to take into account when transferring your physical presence online.

First off, it’s Christmas Eve here in the States, so Merry Christmas to those that celebrate it and Happy Holidays to those that are celebrating other holidays. A while back I discussed how an e-commerce website could survive the recession. Today I will dive into a few reasons why e-commerce is recession proof.

When starting an e-commerce website it is inevitable that one of the issues will be what payment processor to use. This isn’t always an easy question to answer. You need to ask yourself several questions to properly evaluate your needs in order to align yourself with a payment processor that will help you accomplish your business goals.
