It’s common knowledge that people love “Top 10 Lists”. People love WordPress. It’s also common knowledge that people love celebrities and finding new ways to connect with them. I took these facts to create what should be the best blog post of all time: The Top 10 Celebrity websites running on WordPress.
The list and my findings after the break.

We just bought our tickets for WordCamp Savannah.
This WordCamp already has an impressive speaker lineup and should be a great event.
Well the same day we publish an article covering some of the new features contained in WordPress 3.0 RC3, the final version of WordPress 3.0 was released. Here is the video from the WordPress blog covering the launch and some of the new features.
Exciting times!
With the release of the WordPress 3.0 RC3 we are getting very close to the official roll out and launch of WordPress 3.0.
If you are currently running a WordPress site or are thinking about running a WordPress site you might be thinking, what does this mean for me?
I’ll attempt to break down the pros, cons, and features of the changes made in the WordPress 3.0
More after the break.
It’s no secret that we are very fond of the WordPress platform here at Nicasio. We use WordPress on most of our web projects (unless of course another platform is a better fit for that particular project). Between the open source software from WordPress.org which allows anyone with minimal web knowledge to setup their own highly customizable blog/CMS and WordPress.com which allows anyone that signs up to create a new blog in minutes I have to ask – Is WordPress killing Web Design?

Today marked a historic day in the world of WordPress development. The Classic and Kubrick themes were officially removed from the WordPress 3.0 code base.
WordPress 3.0 will be shipping with the Twenty Ten theme.
Nicasio just got back from WordCamp Atlanta and we had a great time. We were Silver Sponsors of the event and we were glad that we could help (in a small way) make such a great event happen.
We want to thank the organizers, volunteers, other sponsors and of course the speakers for a great WordCamp!
We can’t wait for WordCamp Atl 2011!
A new version of WordPress has been released. This release fixes a few minor security and bug issues and will more than likely be one of the final iterations of the 2.8.5 branch as WordPress 2.9 is in the works.
Most of these issues were discovered during the development of WordPress 2.9, and the WordPress team wanted to make sure the 2.8.X branch was up to date before the release of 2.9
Some key fixes include:
- A fix for the Trackback Denial-of-Service attack that is currently being seen.
- Removal of areas within the code where php code in variables was evaluated.
- Switched the file upload functionality to be whitelisted for all users including Admins.
- Retiring of the two importers of Tag data from old plugins.
We just wanted to send a big thanks to the WordPress community. As of today our Dynamic Headers Plugin has been downloaded over 20,000 times!
We are pleased to announce that Dynamic Headers version 3.4.2 has been released. With this version we have fixed numerous bugs, and optimized the plugin even more. Additionally we have dropped support for WordPress version 2.6 and below as of this update. It is simply becoming too time consuming to try to add new features whil catering to all versions of WordPress. If you are using WordPress 2.6 or lower you will need to upgrade, or continue using an old version of Dynamic Headers.

The guys over at WordPress.org have released the latest version of WordPress, 2.8.2. This fixes a known XSS vulnerability if WordPress 2.8.1
As always you can download the latest version of WordPress from WordPress.org
It’s our favorite time here at Nicasio! WordPress release time! WordPress 2.8.1 has been released and brings with it numerous security and bug fixes.
Remember to do full database, theme and plugin backups before attempting an upgrade yourself! We do offer upgrade assistance.
