Nicasio just got back from WordCamp Atlanta and we had a great time. We were Silver Sponsors of the event and we were glad that we could help (in a small way) make such a great event happen.
We want to thank the organizers, volunteers, other sponsors and of course the speakers for a great WordCamp!
A new version of WordPress has been released. This release fixes a few minor security and bug issues and will more than likely be one of the final iterations of the 2.8.5 branch as WordPress 2.9 is in the works.
Most of these issues were discovered during the development of WordPress 2.9, and the WordPress team wanted to make sure the 2.8.X branch was up to date before the release of 2.9
Some key fixes include:
A fix for the Trackback Denial-of-Service attack that is currently being seen.
Removal of areas within the code where php code in variables was evaluated.
Switched the file upload functionality to be whitelisted for all users including Admins.
Retiring of the two importers of Tag data from old plugins.
We are pleased to announce that Dynamic Headers version 3.4.2 has been released. With this version we have fixed numerous bugs, and optimized the plugin even more. Additionally we have dropped support for WordPress version 2.6 and below as of this update. It is simply becoming too time consuming to try to add new features whil catering to all versions of WordPress. If you are using WordPress 2.6 or lower you will need to upgrade, or continue using an old version of Dynamic Headers.
We love WordPress and Google Analytics here at Nicasio, so this plugin is pretty awesome for us. It’s a plugin that allows you to have a dashboard in WordPress that gives you key WordPress stats, Google Analytics stats, and, if you’re a MailChimp user, MailChimp stats. This plugin is provided by the team over at MailChimp.
