For those of you not familiar with Wild Apricot, it is perhaps the most robust membership management solution around today. All web based – its users can run their website and manage their membership [via events, profiles, and online payments] all from one UI.
WIFTA wanted a site that set it apart from the pack of Wild Apricot templates. The result! Chris Underwood at his best. A site designed and developed for optimum use of the features Wild Apricot has to offers.
We are glad to announce the launch of this awesome new Content Management solution on behalf of WIFTA. A place where “media makers [can] connect, create, champion and inspire. ”
At Nicasio, we’re passionate about technology. So, it’s always a treat when we get to work with someone on a project who is equally as passionate about technology. That was the case with one of our recent WordPress site launches Tech Webinar Maven (TWM).
TWM needed a site that allowed for the management and addition of a large amount of content, a layout that to display that content, a robust ad management system, and basically a site that would do it all. Enter a custom WordPress site.
Through the use of open source plugins, custom plugins, and a custom theme we were able to give TWM all the functionality and aesthetic elements they desired…and then some.

We are proud to announce the launch of one of our latest WordPress design and development projects. Life Design for Lawyers (LDL).
LDL came to us looking for a down to business design and layout that was easy for them to manage on their own. The result – a custom design developed on WordPress.

Nothing make us happier at Nicasio than launching a new website. This is a custom WordPress site that we are particularly proud of. The Small Business Assistance Corporation came to use with a website that had a ton of great content, and a convenient online loan application process. They needed a website redesign and wanted to reorganize their immense amount of content in a more user friendly way. They also needed a robust content management system to easily manage their large amount of data. The solution? WordPress of course.
The web is quickly becoming more of the same. You will see the same design and same functionality duplicated over and over on site after site. Companies and bloggers are quickly losing their identities on the web.
How do we stop this downward spiral? By creating something custom for each of our clients. Something they can say is their own. Something that captures their brand, style, and personality and displays it to the world. Here at Nicasio Design we use WordPress as our canvas for cutting edge custom designs.

OK, we didn’t actually goto Sonoma (although we wouldn’t mind a vacation), but we did just finish the new custom design and development project for Inside Sonoma (http://inside-sonoma.com/). Inside Sonoma required a dynamic site to handle their large amount of content.
This project consisted of a custom logo design, custom WordPress design, and the development of that design into a full fledged WordPress site by our lead designer and front end developer, Chris Underwood. This site is a great example of using WordPress as both a blog and fully featured content management system.

This is just another example of a wizbang job by Nicasio’s Underwood – Cannon team!

About NicE-Comm

Often we are challenged to take an existing WordPress site/blog, such as Wendy Lewis’ Beauty In The Bag, and transform it to its full potential without losing its already established aesthetic value. Well, bring Chris into the project, challenge him, and he transforms from mild mannered web developer to a WordPress super hero; AKA CSS Wizard. We are very proud of the resulting Beauty In The Bag WordPress blog, and so is the customer. She rings praises for our CSS Wizard – “This looks great! You nailed it down. I am So excited.”

This is, by far, one of Chris’ best site designs. I know I say that about every site launch, but this time – he [and Dan] have taken WordPress design and development to a new level. OK enough about us!
The customer – OurLifeHealth.com
Need – new CMS design and development in rapid development mode. Actual turn around time - 4 days.
Solution – WordPress 2.7, with custom search synonym allowing admin to associate probable words to search results. So, if visitor searched for let’s say ‘health’ in the admin an association can be made to keywords like – lifestyle, eating right, longevity, etc… There are many other plugins and special features the site has which I wont tell you about. Trust me! It’s pretty robust.

See form and function come together in this new site Chris has designed and developed for Coastal Allergy. Note the custom functionality in:
1 – Daily pollen count can be edited via a post or automated from a web source.
2 – Dynamic custom flash header where images can be managed via admin.
3 – Mini tags generated dynamically in Patient Education posts.
4 – Email function to email page to a friend.
Enough from me folks. Check Coastal Allergy out for yourselves. And tell your friends who have allergies about Coastal!
