WordPress Site Launch: iFive

iFive needed their new website design built out to incorporate two different platforms – WordPress and Wild Apricot.

The WordPress theme we built is a highly custom theme using advanced content management techniques which allows iFive to control every aspect of their site’s content from within the site’s admin.

The Wild Apricot build is a custom Wild Apricot theme which allows iFive to maintain the same look and feel across both platforms while gaining the membership benefits of Wild Apricot combined with the content management and scalability of WordPress.

A customized version of our own Dynamic Headers plugin also makes an appearance on this site.

WordPress Site Launch: Riggs Partners

Riggs Partners (Home Page)What do you get when you add a South Carolina marketing agency to Nicasio’s WordPress development team? A match made in heaven! That’s right, working alongside Riggs Partners, a creative marketing agency based out of South Carolina, Nicasio had the pleasure of building their newly designed website using none other than our favorite CMS — WordPress!

Their new site features highly customized partner bio pages that load various social networking links/feeds (given that specific partner is actually keeping up with the joneses), a custom portfolio section that can easily be maintained within the WP admin, and varying page backgrounds for some added flare.

A little self-promotion never hurt anyone…

Well, the 2009 Savannah Addy Awards (an awards show sponsored in part by the American Advertising Federation, who’s purpose is to protect and promote the well-being of advertising) has come to an end – and although we didn’t come home as the BIGGEST winners of the night we did however manage to bring home 1 Silver Addy in the “Logo Design” category! And for this being our very first Savannah Addy’s we are quite pleased with the Silver and look forward to winning many more Silver and even some Gold awards next year.

Some much needed Thank You’s…

Talk bubbleI see Felix has already written an introductory post for our latest website launch (www.easthampster.com) so instead of saying the same thing twice and boring our loyal followers I’d like to take this opportunity to give some thanks to the few individuals involved in making this project a success.

All of us at Nicasio were extremely happy to work with Tom from easthampster.com because of his excitement and personal involvement in the entire process. Its true that Tom might not have known some of the more technical aspects that went into the project but his ability to set realistic goals joined with his willingness to learn is what made working together on this project very fulfilling on not just a business level but personally as well. So to Tom, Thank You—We look forward to growing our partnership and working with you to further enhance your new WordPress MU website in the future.

Forget everything you think you know about WordPress…

And possibly what others have told you as well. The reality is that WordPress WAS originally developed to help its users maintain their blogs or online diaries. 5 years later there is an increasing number of folks using WordPress to develop entire websites. YES – you heard me – websites, not just blogs!

What does this mean for you? To be honest – anything you want it to mean. With over 3,000 registered plugins at the time I wrote this article – making WordPress do what YOU need it to do is just a few mouse clicks away. [ insert shameless plug here: ] And with the help of an experienced web design and development team like our own your website could be the next big thing.
