It’s no secret how we feel about Firefox here at Nicasio – We love it! Firefox is by far the most robust, standards compliant browser out there. If you are still using a browser such as Internet Explorer (especially version 7 or below!) you should give Firefox a try today.
Firefox 3.5 is the fastest, most robust version of Firefox to date. Click here to give it a try today!

This is from a recent client email – and I just want to share the love:
“Just wanted to thank you Nicasio for all your help and tell you how pleased we were with the technical support we recently received from you and your team, on our recent WordPress project… You guys really did take the worry and stress out of getting this done! The project management and technical execution on our WordPress project was flawless!”

Much to our surprise – we have been featured on the Automattic Blog. Nice!
One of our recent project launches has been picked up by the creators of WordPress. How awesome is that? We are excited to have our work featured by them. To read the post click here.
The featured site is ourlifehealth.com – WordPress design and development which pushed the envelope in terms of rapid design and development. We hope to be able to top this with our next site – now in production.
Let us know how we can help make WordPress awesome for you too.
WordPress 2.8 has officially been released. Some notable new functionality includes a theme browser, similar to WordPress 2.7’s plugin browser. This makes adding and changing themes a breeze with WordPress 2.8. Other new features include a new method for managing widgets and over 700 bug fixes. Video with all of the new features after the break.
What is older than the TV series 24, the X-Box (the original one), Windows XP, the original iPod, and East Timor (that’s a country, not a tasty dish). Give up? Internet Explorer 6. IE6 is going on 9 years old, and Internet Explorer 8 has been released. IE6 has a myriad of known security and compatiblity bugs. It does not render modern CSS correctly, which means you are not viewing most websites in the full glory they were intended. It has a ton of security issues that were left unhandled by Microsoft. This means if you are using IE6 you are more vulnerable to identity theft, credit card fraud, malware, spyware, viruses, adware and the all too annoying popup window.
Over at http://iedeathmarch.org/ dozens of web designers, developers, technicians, network admins, and other technology personnel have sworn to stop supporting IE6 in March 2009 (already come and gone). This means most of the technology people you rely on to keep the web running have publicly said they have stopped supporting IE6.
What should you do if you are still using IE6? Switch. Immediately. Head over to http://browsehappy.com/ to learn more about the modern web browsers that are out there. Not only will you be helping the Internet and making yourself safer online, you will probably find your online surfing experience considerably more enjoyable with a modern web browser.
It’s no secret that we are WordPress nuts over here at Nicasio. So when a new version is coming down the pipes it obviously peaks out interest. WordPress 2.8 Beta 2 has just been released. While it doesn’t appear to be the groundbreaking level of changes we saw in 2.7 (not yet anyway), it does introduce some new features, bug fixes and continues to improve the WordPress experience. I look forward to the final release of WP 2.8. If you want to check it out, head over to WordPress.Org. Just make sure to note this is still a beta version, so you don’t want to be running it on any live sites, nor doing any new site development with it yet.
